About the Role
We are hiring a Business Development Manager – Technical Sales for one of our European clients. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the Indian railway industry, particularly in track machines, track construction, and maintenance.
This role involves developing new business opportunities, managing existing customers, supporting machinery trials and demonstrations, and working closely with Indian Railway authorities, contractors, and international teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify new sales opportunities with railway contractors, Indian Railways, metro networks, and other railway stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with railway contractors, RDSO, Zonal Railways, DFCCIL, NHRSCL, NCRTC, and metro organizations.
- Develop business for service, spare parts, and machinery health certificates.
- Coordinate trials, demonstrations, and deployment of railway machinery with customers and system integrators.
- Work with the service team to provide technical support and resolve customer requirements.
- Conduct site visits for technical discussions, audits, information gathering, and new product feasibility.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to contractors, RDSO, and other railway authorities.
- Support tender documentation, technical proposals, and the railway approval process.
- Coordinate with international clients and internal teams to deliver business objectives.
Required Skills and Experience
- 10–15 years of experience in the railway industry, preferably with track machines or track management.
- Strong technical knowledge of railway track construction and maintenance.
- Good understanding of railway machinery, track technology, and components.
- Experience working with Indian Railways, RDSO, railway contractors, and metro networks.
- Knowledge of railway tenders, approvals, and technical documentation.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work with international businesses and cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India (60–80%).

Delhi NCR.
