The Telecom Warehouse (Australia) | Full-time | Remote (India)
Hours: 3:30am–11:30am IST, Monday to Friday (9:00am–5:00pm Melbourne time; shifts to 4:30am–12:30pm IST during Australian winter)
About us
The Telecom Warehouse is a Melbourne-based B2B supplier of business communications equipment, backed by 17+ years of industry experience. It stocks 8,000+ SKUs across IP phones, headsets, phone systems, conferencing and AV, and it is an official partner for Yealink, Poly, Jabra, EPOS, Grandstream, Fanvil, Snom, Alcatel-Lucent, Ascom, Spectralink and iPECS. Its clients include hospitals, councils and businesses across Australia.
The role in one line
Find new Australian business clients for The Telecom Warehouse and close them. This is a hunting role, not account management or customer support.
What you’ll do
- Build your own pipeline from scratch through cold calling, cold email, LinkedIn outreach and referrals
- Target SMBs, enterprises, councils, healthcare, education, call centres, IT providers and MSPs
- Qualify leads, run discovery calls, prepare quotes and follow up until the deal closes
- Grow repeat business from the accounts you win
- Support tenders and government supply opportunities with the Australian team
- Keep accurate records of every lead, follow-up and quote, and report weekly on activity, pipeline and revenue
Targets
You will have monthly targets for outbound activity, new accounts and closed revenue from your first month. Performance will be reviewed at 30, 60 and 90 days.
Must-haves (applications without these will not be considered)
- 3+ years in outbound B2B sales with new business closing responsibility
- Experience selling to Australian, UK, US or NZ clients
- Clear, confident spoken English, suitable for cold calls with Australian decision-makers
- Willing to work 3:30am–11:30am IST, Monday to Friday, on an ongoing basis
- Organised and disciplined at tracking your own leads, follow-ups and pipeline
- Stable internet, a quiet workspace and your own laptop and headset
Strong advantage
- Telecom, unified communications, IT hardware or tech distribution experience
- Experience with government or healthcare procurement and tenders
This role is NOT for you if:
- You’ve mainly worked in inbound sales, customer support, scripted telecalling or lead generation only
- You’ve never personally closed a B2B deal
- You need a ready-made lead list to be productive
- You can’t commit to a 3:30am IST start long term
- You’re looking for a fixed salary with no performance targets
What we offer
- Competitive fixed salary plus uncapped commission on revenue you bring in
- Fully remote role
- A large product range and strong brand partnerships to sell behind
- Direct access to the director, and a clear path to a senior role as the team grows
How to apply (incomplete applications will not be reviewed)
- Your CV
- A short answer: What is the biggest B2B deal you personally closed? Include the client type, deal value and how you won it.
- A 60-second voice recording introducing yourself as if you were cold calling an Australian IT manager
- Your current CTC and expected fixed salary (in LPA)
