Role Description The Branch Manager role at Delhivery is a full-time, on-site position based in West Delhi. The Branch Manager oversees daily branch operations, including inbound and outbound shipments, last-mile delivery performance, and adherence to service-level agreements. This role is responsible for managing and mentoring branch staff, planning workforce requirements, and ensuring safe and compliant handling of parcels and freight. The Branch Manager collaborates with regional operations, sales, and customer service teams to drive volume growth, improve turnaround times, and enhance customer satisfaction. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring operational KPIs, resolving escalation issues, optimizing process flows, managing vendor and partner relationships, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Delhivery’s standards.
Qualifications
- Operational management skills, including branch/warehouse operations, logistics coordination, and process optimization.
- Team leadership capabilities, such as people management, performance coaching, and workforce planning.
- Customer service and stakeholder management skills, including handling escalations and maintaining strong client and partner relationships.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret operational data, track KPIs, and drive data-informed decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and frontline staff.
- Proficiency with basic office and logistics software; familiarity with technology-enabled logistics platforms or TMS tools is an advantage.
- Proven experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or related operations roles; prior branch or hub management experience is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work flexible hours based on operational requirements and maintain high standards of safety and compliance.
