Azure Cloud Support Specialist

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Support Specialist with a strong passion for Production Support .
The Azure Cloud Support Specialist will bring hands-on experience supporting complex, enterprise-scale cloud solutions across the Microsoft Azure platform. This role will be responsible for the ongoing support, maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of Azure infrastructure and the enterprise applications running on it.
The successful candidate will have a strong technical background across cloud technologies, production operations, automation, and Infrastructure as Code, along with the ability to provide technical expertise and guidance to Agile development and DevOps teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and implement scalable, secure, highly available Azure cloud architectures supporting Java-based enterprise applications.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and hands-on expertise in the delivery and support of Azure cloud resources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cloud adoption, automation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Support the development and implementation of Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) within infrastructure and application designs.
- Maintain and continuously improve cloud documentation, architecture diagrams, design specifications, operational runbooks, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Partner with Information Security teams to enforce and support Imperva WAF policies, secure authentication flows, and external user access controls.
- Design, implement, and support Azure cloud infrastructure for partner and third-party solutions.
- Develop and maintain automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for resource provisioning, configuration, and policy management using technologies such as PowerShell, Azure DevOps, Ansible, and other approved enterprise automation and orchestration platforms.
- Review, assess, and improve complex Infrastructure as Code and Pipelines as Code solutions with an emphasis on scalability, standardization, reusability, and maintainability.
- Participate in the automated implementation and enhancement of cloud monitoring solutions, including event monitoring, alerting, metrics, dashboards, and diagnostics.
- Proactively monitor production environments, troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventative measures.
- Work directly with development teams across multiple disciplines to facilitate collaborative implementations, technical knowledge sharing, and effective production support.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure reliable and efficient CI/CD operations and deployments.
- Configure proactive alerts, dashboards, logging, and diagnostics to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact business operations.
- Contribute to cloud standards, engineering best practices, operational processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical training, mentoring, and guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Participate in weekend support and on-call rotations as required.
- Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Azure cloud environments in an enterprise or production environment.
- Experience supporting business-critical applications and production workloads in Azure.
- Strong understanding of Azure architecture, networking, compute, storage, identity, security, monitoring, and governance services.
- Experience supporting Java enterprise applications within cloud environments.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud automation.
- Hands-on experience with PowerShell, Azure DevOps, Ansible, or comparable automation technologies.
- Experience developing, supporting, or reviewing CI/CD pipelines and Pipelines as Code.
- Experience with cloud monitoring, alerting, logging, diagnostics, and performance management.
- Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, business continuity, and resilient cloud architecture.
- Experience working with security teams on WAF, authentication, authorization, and external access controls; Imperva WAF experience is highly desirable.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex production issues.
- Experience working within Agile/DevOps environments and collaborating closely with software engineering teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with distributed, cross-functional teams.
