We are seeking a senior cybersecurity leader to head the Cyber Defence and Command Centre function. The role will be responsible for strengthening enterprise-wide threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management and cyber-defence capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic vision and operational governance of the Cyber Defence and Command Center.
- Build, enhance and sustain SOC/CDCC capabilities across enterprise IT, cloud and OT environments.
- Drive 24x7 security monitoring, threat detection, threat hunting, incident response and cyber-crisis readiness.
- Lead the development and optimization of SIEM, SOAR and UEBA capabilities.
- Design and implement automated incident-response playbooks and containment mechanisms.
- Establish and govern an enterprise-wide vulnerability-management programme.
- Lead vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, ethical hacking and remediation governance.
- Prioritize vulnerabilities affecting critical assets and ensure timely closure with business and technology teams.
- Drive threat intelligence, dark-web monitoring, advanced analytics and proactive threat identification.
- Manage CDCC partners, OEMs and managed-security-service providers, including SLAs, performance and governance.
- Develop cybersecurity dashboards, metrics and executive-level reporting for the Group CISO and senior leadership.
- Conduct cyber drills, tabletop exercises, post-incident reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure alignment with relevant cybersecurity regulations, standards and internal governance frameworks.
Mandatory Requirements
- 17–20 years of overall experience, with at least 15 years in cybersecurity/SOC-related roles.
- Minimum 3 years of experience heading a SOC, CDCC or Cyber Defence function.
- At least 5 years of experience owning enterprise vulnerability-management programmes.
- Proven experience independently setting up or significantly transforming a SOC/CDCC.
- Direct hands-on experience with SIEM, SOAR, UEBA and vulnerability-management platforms.
- Strong experience in threat intelligence, threat hunting, incident response and cyber-crisis management.
Preferred Skills
- Cybersecurity leadership experience in BFSI, manufacturing, energy, telecom, critical infrastructure or large conglomerates.
- IT/OT security and industrial cybersecurity exposure.
- Experience with AI/ML-driven security analytics, automated response and self-healing security operations.
- Experience managing outsourced or hybrid SOC/CDCC operating models.
- Exposure to ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, RBI, SEBI, IRDAI or other relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Strong executive communication and experience presenting cyber risk to CXOs, boards or senior leadership.
