Role Description The Assistant Professor at Baba Farid College of Pharmacy will engage in full-time, on-site academic responsibilities at the Ludhiana campus. Daily tasks include planning and delivering lectures, conducting tutorials and practical sessions in pharmacy and related subjects, and assessing student performance through examinations and assignments. The role involves mentoring students, guiding research and project work, and contributing to curriculum development and academic quality assurance. The Assistant Professor will participate in departmental meetings, academic events, and outreach activities, while maintaining updated knowledge of current developments in pharmaceutical sciences and pedagogy.
Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree (M.Pharm or equivalent) in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution; Ph.D. in Pharmacy or related field is an advantage.
- Demonstrated knowledge of core pharmaceutical subjects and current industry practices, with the ability to integrate theory and practical application in teaching.
- Strong teaching, presentation, and communication skills, with a student-centered approach and commitment to inclusive, equitable learning environments.
- Experience in academic research, publications, or conference presentations, and interest in guiding student projects and research activities.
- Ability to design lesson plans, evaluate student performance, and use educational technology and learning management systems effectively.
- Collaborative mindset, professional integrity, and willingness to contribute to institutional development, outreach programs, and community engagement.
- Prior teaching or academic experience in pharmacy education is preferred; registration with relevant professional or regulatory bodies is beneficial.
