As we scale our farms and engineering capability, we are strengthening our in-house Product Lab across mechanical systems, embedded electronics, vision and automation.
About the Role
We are looking for an Associate Engineer — Mechatronics who is organised, technically curious and comfortable working hands-on with machines.
This role combines engineering documentation and project coordination with practical support in mechanical design, prototyping, fabrication and testing.
It is a good fit for someone early in their career who wants broad exposure to how real machines and automation systems are designed, built, tested and improved.
What You’ll Do
Engineering Documentation & Project Coordination - 80%
- Maintain technical documentation across Product Lab projects.
- Organise CAD files, BOMs, drawings, test reports, SOPs and design records.
- Track tasks, design changes, testing and project progress.
- Keep work across Mechanical, Embedded, Electronics, Vision and Machine Development structured and up to date.
- Work closely with engineers and product teams to capture technical learnings and decisions.
Technical & Mechanical Support - 20%
- Support mechanical design, prototyping, fabrication, assembly and testing.
- Assist with machine development and troubleshooting.
- Work hands-on with prototypes, tools and components.
- Gradually take ownership of mechanical subsystems and product-development tasks.
What We’re Looking For
- Fresher or 0–1 year experience in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong interest in machines, automation and product development.
- Good documentation, communication and organisational skills.
- Basic familiarity with CAD tools such as Fusion 360, SolidWorks or similar.
- Detail-oriented and comfortable maintaining technical records.
- Willingness to work hands-on with machines, tools and prototypes.
- Willingness to relocate and stay full-time at ARL’s farm in Bangalore Rural.
Good to Have
- CAD, 3D printing, fabrication or prototyping experience.
- Basic understanding of sensors, motors, electronics or automation.
- Exposure to robotics or machine-development projects.
- Experience using project-management or documentation tools.
