Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Sales Manager role based in Vadodara. The Assistant Sales Manager will support sales planning and execution, manage existing customer accounts, and assist in identifying and developing new business opportunities in the construction equipment sector. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and presenting sales proposals, coordinating product demonstrations, tracking leads and opportunities, and maintaining accurate sales reports and CRM data. The role involves close collaboration with the technical, service, and operations teams to ensure timely quotations, order processing, and customer support. The Assistant Sales Manager will also monitor market trends, participate in industry events, and provide feedback to management on competitive activities and customer needs.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and business development capabilities, including lead generation, customer relationship management, and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of industrial or construction equipment markets, preferably concrete mixers, batch plants, or related capital equipment.
- Competence in sales reporting, basic financial understanding (pricing, margins), and use of CRM or sales management tools.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear business terms.
- Organizational and time-management skills, with a focus on meeting targets and managing multiple accounts and opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent business qualification is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and interact professionally with customers at all organizational levels.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and industry events as required.
