Key Responsibilities
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial book closure activities within defined timelines.
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, provisions, and other General Ledger transactions.
- Perform General Ledger reconciliations and resolve outstanding reconciling items.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Assist in preparing financial statements, management reports, and balance sheet schedules.
- Conduct account reconciliations, variance analysis, and identify discrepancies for timely resolution.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to obtain required information for period-end close.
- Support internal and external audit activities by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and statutory requirements.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and strengthen financial controls.
- Assist in preparing MIS reports and support finance projects as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
- 1–2 years of relevant R2R/Book Closure experience.
- Good understanding of accounting principles (Ind AS/IFRS knowledge is an advantage).
- Exposure to General Ledger, Record to Report (R2R), Month-End Close, and Financial Reporting.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict reporting deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to shared services/BPO or multinational environments is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and automation initiatives is desirable.
- High attention to detail, ownership, and a proactive mindset
