Industry: Business Process Outsourcing (BPO)
We are seeking an experienced and strategic HR Manager to lead the Human Resources function for our Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) workforce in India.
This is a non-client-facing HR leadership role focused on employee relations, statutory compliance, benefits administration, performance management, employee engagement, retention, talent development, and overall HR operations.
The ideal candidate will have 12–15 years of solid HR experience, strong leadership capability, and the ability to partner with senior management while remaining hands-on in managing complex HR matters.
Key Responsibilities
HR Leadership & Business Partnership
- Lead the HR function for the Vadodara operation and serve as a trusted advisor to site and business leadership.
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Partner with managers and leadership on workforce, organizational, and employee matters.
- Provide HR insights and recommendations to the Global Head of HR and business leadership.
Statutory Compliance & HR Governance
- Ensure compliance with applicable Indian labor laws and employment regulations.
- Oversee HR-related statutory requirements and ensure required documentation and records are properly maintained.
- Partner with relevant internal teams and external providers on statutory compliance matters.
- Support HR audits and monitor changes in employment regulations.
- Ensure HR policies and practices remain aligned with legal and organizational requirements.
Employee Relations & Performance Management
- Manage employee relations, grievances, workplace concerns, investigations, and conflict resolution.
- Handle disciplinary matters fairly, consistently, and in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Lead performance management processes and coach managers on performance conversations and improvement plans.
- Promote accountability, continuous feedback, and a high-performance culture.
Employee Engagement, Retention & Development
- Develop initiatives that improve employee engagement, satisfaction, retention, and overall employee experience.
- Monitor employee feedback and identify retention and engagement risks.
- Support talent development, succession planning, career development, and leadership capability.
- Partner with managers to strengthen workplace culture and employee performance.
Benefits & HR Operations
- Oversee HR-related benefits administration and employee support.
- Ensure HR processes are delivered accurately, consistently, and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records through the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
- Partner with Finance and other relevant teams on employee-related administrative matters.
- Continuously improve HR processes and employee service delivery.
HR Analytics & Organizational Development
- Monitor key workforce metrics including headcount, attrition, absenteeism, engagement, performance, and employee relations.
- Provide HR reports and actionable workforce insights to leadership.
- Support organizational changes, process improvements, and initiatives that improve organizational effectiveness.
Global HR Partnership
- Partner with the Global Head of HR and international stakeholders on HR initiatives.
- Ensure local HR practices align with organizational standards while meeting Indian employment requirements.
- Collaborate effectively across functions, cultures, and time zones.
Qualifications & Experience
- 12–15 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in BPO, shared services, or a large-scale workforce environment.
- Significant experience in an HR Manager, HR Lead, HR Business Partner, or equivalent HR leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and statutory HR compliance.
- Strong employee relations, performance management, and conflict-resolution experience.
- Experience driving employee engagement, retention, and people-development initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leadership.
- Strong HR reporting, analytics, and HRIS experience.
- Experience with benefits administration and employee lifecycle processes.
- Excellent communication, coaching, stakeholder-management, and decision-making skills.
- Experience supporting international or multinational operations is highly preferred.
- Willingness to work fully onsite in Vadodara and on UK shift.
