Role Description The Admissions Counsellor is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. This role involves guiding prospective learners through the admissions process, including responding to inquiries, providing detailed program information, and explaining eligibility criteria and application requirements. The Admissions Counsellor engages in student recruiting activities, such as follow-up calls, emails, and counseling sessions to help applicants choose suitable programs. Daily tasks include supporting learners with documentation, coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding, maintaining accurate records in admissions systems, and meeting enrollment targets while delivering a professional and supportive experience.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills for explaining programs clearly, conducting counseling sessions, and maintaining professional written and verbal correspondence.
- Customer Service and Student Recruiting skills to manage inquiries, build rapport with prospective learners, and support them through the admission journey.
- Sales skills to convert leads into enrollments ethically, handle objections, and work towards defined admission and revenue goals.
- Education-related knowledge to understand academic programs, eligibility requirements, and qualification frameworks in higher education.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a background in education, business, or counseling is preferred.
- Proficiency in using CRM or admissions management systems and common office productivity tools.
- Ability to work on-site in the Pune Division, manage multiple inquiries, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Prior experience in admissions, counseling, education, or Ed-Tech is an advantage.
