1. Job Purpose
The Executive – Quality & Process will support the Quality & Process function in implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System, process standardization, ISO 9001:2015 certification activities, internal audits, documentation, compliance monitoring, and continual process improvement.
The role will be responsible for ensuring that defined processes, SOPs, work instructions, quality standards and documentation are effectively implemented and maintained across departments.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and maintenance of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System across departments.
- Assist in preparing, reviewing and maintaining SOPs, manuals, work instructions, formats and process documents.
- Support process mapping, standardization and improvement across departments.
- Identify process gaps, duplication, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in conducting internal quality audits and maintaining audit records.
- Track and support timely closure of audit findings, NCRs and CAPAs.
- Maintain proper objective evidence and documentation required for certification and external audits.
- Monitor departmental compliance with approved processes and procedures.
- Coordinate with various departments for implementation of QMS requirements.
- Support preparation for ISO 9001:2015 certification and surveillance audits.
- Assist in IRS/WAC certification activities for IRB manufacturing.
- Support continual improvement initiatives using 5S, Kaizen and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Maintain quality-related records, registers, checklists and reports.
- Prepare periodic reports related to quality, process compliance, audits and improvement activities.
- Follow up with respective process owners for corrective and preventive actions.
- Support management in identifying opportunities for improving process effectiveness and operational efficiency.
3. Required Qualification
- Engineering Diploma or equivalent technical qualification.
- Knowledge/certification in Lean Six Sigma preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSS GB) certification preferred.
4. Experience
- 1–3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in manufacturing/production environments will be preferred.
- Exposure to Quality Management Systems, process documentation, audits or ISO implementation will be an added advantage.
5. Required Skills & Competencies
- Good understanding of Quality Management Systems and process improvement.
- Basic knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
- Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen and Lean Six Sigma.
- Good documentation and report-writing skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow up and ensure timely closure of action items.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to maintain systematic records and audit documentation.
6. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Timely completion of ISO/QMS documentation.
- Percentage of SOPs and work instructions implemented as per plan.
- Timely closure of audit findings, NCRs and CAPAs.
- Internal audit completion against the annual audit plan.
- Process compliance across departments.
- Number of process improvement/Kaizen initiatives implemented.
- Reduction in process gaps and documentation deviations.
- Timely availability of objective evidence for certification/external audits.
- Departmental compliance and QMS implementation effectiveness.
7. Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be technically qualified, process-oriented and comfortable working with multiple departments. The candidate should have a practical approach towards quality, documentation, process improvement and compliance, along with an interest in Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement.
8. Business Contribution
The role will help ITUS strengthen its Quality Management System, standardize processes, reduce inefficiencies, improve compliance, support certification activities and ensure timely closure of audit observations and corrective actions.
