Lead accounting operations across Sol-Millennium's EMEA entities outside Poland in this newly created, high-impact role. As Accounting Manager, you will own accounting oversight, customer and vendor master data governance, and external service provider management for a growing multi-entity region — driving financial accuracy and compliance standards aligned with the Regional operating model.
Responsibilities & duties
Accounting Oversight
- Lead and own accounting oversight for all EMEA legal entities excluding Poland.
- Review and validate work performed by external accounting service providers in each country.
- Ensure compliance with group accounting standards, IFRS, and applicable local GAAP.
Customer & Vendor Master Data Governance
- Own the accuracy and completeness of customer and vendor master data across EMEA entities.
- Enable accurate financial reporting by country, sub-region, and sales channel through disciplined data governance practices.
Month-End & Year-End Close
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes for EMEA entities (ex-Poland), including preparation and review of financial statements.
- Report results to regional and global leadership teams in a timely and accurate manner.
Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with all local and international financial reporting requirements across EMEA jurisdictions.
- Identify and implement improvements to internal controls and accounting processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
External Service Provider Management
- Oversee the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of accounting services delivered by third-party providers operating in EMEA countries.
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for issues escalated from external providers.
Reporting
- Produce high-quality financial and management reports aligned with Regional operating model standards.
- Support regional and global decision-making through clear, accurate, and timely financial reporting.
Business Partnership - Collaborate with country managers, supply chain, operations, and global finance teams to provide insights and ensure accurate, timely financial information.
Additional responsibilities that arise - Show initiative and/or follow instructions from Finance Leadership regarding tasks and projects that extend beyond official duties and may come up as circumstances change.
Academic & Formal Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field required or equivalent experience.
Desirable qualifications - CA, CPA, ACCA, MBA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
Work Experience & Skills - 5–10 years of accounting experience in a multi-entity or multi-country environment, with EMEA exposure strongly preferred.
Additional Essential experience - Proficient in SAP or similar ERP. Strong understanding of IFRS and local GAAP across EMEA jurisdictions. Advanced Excel; Power BI or data analytics tools are a plus.
