About us
Medovate Pvt Ltd is the India-based Global Capability Centre (GCC) for the Kelta group, a multi-entity international group with operating companies in the United States, United Kingdom, Mexico, China and India. Group entities include Ultimate Training Munitions (UTM), Tii Technologies, ELEY, Killough Shooting Sports, Eurocraft Technologies and Medovate UK.
All group entities run on a single Oracle Fusion Cloud tenancy. From Ahmedabad, Medovate delivers Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP services, IT operations and business process support to the group.
The role
You will own the transactional and record-to-report backbone of the group's largest operations: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger for some of the US and Hong Kong entities, alongside the books of Medovate Pvt Ltd in India.
This is the finance engine room. Every supplier invoice, every customer invoice, every payment run, every bank reconciliation, every intercompany entry and every month-end close for the in-scope entities either runs through your team or is signed off by you. The scope covers USD and HKD transactions, US and Hong Kong statutory and tax requirements, and daily working alongside colleagues in both countries, all on one shared Oracle Fusion Cloud instance.
You will start hands-on, processing and closing alongside a small team, then build out the AP, AR and GL pods that scale the function as more work transitions into Ahmedabad from the US and Hong Kong finance teams. The group also operates entities in Mexico and China, and those may come into scope over time, but they are not part of the initial remit.
Core responsibilities
1. Accounts Payable (all group entities)
- Own the end-to-end procure-to-pay cycle: supplier onboarding and master data, invoice capture and coding, three-way match against purchase orders and receipts, non-PO invoice routing, approval workflow management and exception resolution.
- Manage payment runs across multiple entities, banks and currencies, including ACH, wire, cheque and BACS, with correct authorisation and dual control at every step.
- Own supplier statement reconciliations, debit balances, duplicate payment prevention, unapplied prepayments and AP ageing.
- Manage employee expense reports and corporate card reconciliation across entities, enforcing the group travel and expense policy.
- Handle jurisdiction-specific AP requirements: US Form 1099-NEC and W-9 collection, sales and use tax accrual, HKG VAT on purchases, reverse charge treatment and Making Tax Digital support, and India GST input credit and TDS deduction for the Medovate entity.
- Drive down cost per invoice and cycle time through touchless processing, invoice automation and vendor self-service.
2. Accounts Receivable (all group entities)
- Own the order-to-cash cycle downstream of sales: customer master data, credit limits and credit review, invoice generation from sales orders and shipments, and invoice delivery.
- Manage cash application, lockbox and remittance advice matching, unapplied and unidentified receipts, and short payments.
- Run collections and dunning across entities, including customer follow-up, escalation to commercial owners and dispute and deduction resolution.
- Own AR ageing, DSO reporting, credit memo and RMA processing, bad debt provisioning and write-off recommendations.
- Manage government and defence customer billing requirements where applicable, including contract-specific invoicing formats and supporting documentation.
3. General Ledger, intercompany and month-end close
- Own the close calendar for the group: task ownership, dependencies, cut-offs and a hard commitment to closing on time every month.
- Manage journal entries, accruals, prepaids, deferrals, provisions, payroll postings, fixed asset accounting and depreciation, and lease accounting entries.
- Own bank, cash and credit card reconciliations for every in-scope entity, with a zero tolerance policy on ageing unreconciled items.
- Own subledger to GL tie-outs for AP, AR, inventory and fixed assets, and investigate and clear any variances.
- Run the full intercompany process: cross-entity billing, intercompany invoice matching, settlement, elimination support and reconciliation of intercompany balances so that no entity carries an unexplained difference.
- Maintain chart of accounts governance across the shared tenancy, including account and cost centre requests, mapping consistency and prevention of COA sprawl.
- Prepare the monthly reporting pack: trial balance review, flux and variance analysis with commentary, balance sheet account substantiation and management reporting.
- Prepare audit schedules and act as the primary preparer for statutory and group audits across entities.
4. Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials ownership
- Act as the business owner for Payables, Receivables, Cash Management, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Intercompany, Tax and Expenses within the shared Oracle Fusion Cloud tenancy.
- Partner with the Oracle functional and integration teams on configuration, approval hierarchies, payment formats, tax setup, automation of recurring journals and close activities, and integration of upstream systems.
- Build and maintain reporting using Financial Reporting Studio, OTBI, Smart View and BI Publisher, so that AP, AR and GL reporting is self-service rather than spreadsheet dependent.
- Enforce system controls: segregation of duties, approval limits, audit trails and periodic user access reviews.
5. Process, controls and service delivery
- Document every AP, AR and GL process as an SOP, with a clear RACI between Ahmedabad and in-country finance teams.
- Define and report against SLAs and KPIs: invoice processing cycle time, touchless invoice percentage, first-time match rate, payment accuracy, DSO and past-due AR percentage, days to close, unapplied cash, and ageing of open reconciliation items.
- Establish the internal control framework covering payment controls, vendor onboarding controls, delegation of authority and journal approval, at a standard that withstands group and customer-driven audits.
- Lead transition and knowledge transfer as AP, AR and GL scope migrates from the US and UK finance teams into the GCC, with no drop in service quality during handover.
- Report delivery performance to group finance leadership on a regular governance cadence.
6. Team leadership
- Hire, train, mentor and appraise the AP, AR and GL team as the centre scales.
- Build bench strength and cross-training so that no single process has a single point of failure.
- Set individual performance goals tied to the function's SLAs and quality metrics.
7. Medovate India entity finance (secondary scope)
- Maintain the books of Medovate Pvt Ltd and manage India statutory compliance: GST, TDS, advance tax, income tax and tax audit, ROC and MCA filings, and the statutory audit.
- Support monthly intercompany service billing to group entities under the Intercompany Services Agreements, including the cost build-up and supporting documentation.
- Support transfer pricing compliance and inward remittance and FEMA documentation for export of services, working with external advisors and the authorised dealer bank.
What we are looking for
Must have
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI).
- 6 to 10 years of post-qualification experience with deep, hands-on ownership of AP, AR and GL. We are looking for someone who has personally run a close, not only reviewed one.
- Experience managing these processes for multiple legal entities in more than one country, including multi-currency transactions and foreign exchange revaluation. Direct experience supporting US or Hong Kong entities is a significant advantage.
- Demonstrated experience with intercompany accounting and reconciliation across entities.
- Hands-on experience with a tier-one cloud ERP. Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials is strongly preferred; SAP or NetSuite experience with a genuine willingness to move to Oracle Fusion will be considered.
- Advanced Excel and comfort working with large transaction volumes, reconciliations and reporting tools.
- Clear written and spoken English, with the confidence to chase a supplier in the Hong Kong and a customer in the US in the same afternoon. You will be on calls with US and Hong Kong stakeholders regularly, so spoken fluency matters as much as written.
Strongly preferred
- Prior experience in a GCC, captive shared services center or BPO finance tower (P2P, O2C or R2R).
- Experience standing up a process from scratch, including SOP creation and transition from an onshore team.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, and of group consolidation support.
- Experience with AP or AR automation tooling and measurable process improvement.
- Awareness of controls environments driven by regulated customers, for example defense or government contracting.
How you work
- Process discipline. You believe a reconciliation that is not cleared is not done.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and a build-it-yourself environment. There is no incumbent playbook here.
- Ownership mindset. You raise issues before they become problems.
- Willing to work a shift with meaningful overlap into HKG hours daily and into US Eastern hours during close and for scheduled calls. This is a requirement of the role, not an occasional ask.
What we offer
- Ownership of the finance engine for an international group, with direct access to the Director and to group finance leadership in the US and UK.
- Real international exposure working directly with US and HKG finance teams and stakeholders.
- A modern Oracle Fusion Cloud stack rather than legacy systems and spreadsheets.
- Compensation benchmarked to the Ahmedabad market for the role, plus performance-linked variable pay.
- A career path toward Finance Controller or Head of Finance for the center as it scales.
- Modern office space in Ahmedabad with a small, high-caliber team.
