Role Description The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial activities, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and preparing invoices and receipts. Responsibilities include reconciling bank statements, monitoring payables and receivables, and assisting with monthly and annual closing activities. The role involves preparing financial reports, supporting budgeting and cost analysis, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations. The Accountant will collaborate with internal teams to track inventory costs and support accurate pricing and profitability analysis. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including bookkeeping, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software BUSY/TALLY and spreadsheets, and be comfortable working with MS Excel and basic ERP or finance tools.
- Candidates should possess skills in financial analysis and reporting, including budgeting support, variance analysis, and cost tracking.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of taxation, GST etc. local compliance requirements, and standard accounting principles applicable in India.
- Candidates should possess attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with operations, sales, and management teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is preferred; professional certifications (such as CA, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in retail, e-commerce, or apparel businesses will be considered beneficial.
