Role Description The Academic Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. This role involves providing guidance to students on academic programs, course selections, and study plans, ensuring alignment with their educational and career goals. The Academic Advisor will conduct one-on-one counseling sessions, support students in addressing academic challenges, and connect them with appropriate resources. Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate advising records, collaborating with internal teams to improve student support services, and organizing or participating in workshops and information sessions. The role requires proactive communication, a student-centered approach, and consistent follow-up to help learners succeed.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Student Counseling and Career Counseling to support learners in academic and professional decision-making.
- Proficiency in Academic Advising and sound understanding of Education systems, curricula, and pathways.
- Excellent Communication skills, including active listening, clear written communication, and the ability to explain complex information simply.
- Relevant academic background, such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Experience working with students or youth in an advisory, mentoring, or counseling capacity.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple cases, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Familiarity with basic office software and student record-keeping; experience with advising or student management systems is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory student support.
- No psychology candidates required.
- Salary upto 45k inhand.
