Who We Are?
We're GrowthSchool. And we built Outskill.
GrowthSchool started with one belief: you learn a skill fastest from the person actually doing it. So we partnered with the top 1% of instructors to build high-impact, cohort-based courses in personal and professional growth for learners around the world, and used AI to make that learning personal at a scale a classroom never could.
Then AI changed what "
upskilling" even means. Roles started getting rewritten faster than curriculums could keep up, and the real divide stopped being skilled versus unskilled. It became AI-ready versus not.
So, we built
Outskill, our AI education arm, to close that gap — practical, implementation-first AI training for professionals, teams and enterprises. Today Outskill is one of the largest AI education companies in the world:
20M+ learners across 160+ countries, and programs running everywhere from individual upskilling to enterprise AI transformation.
Our mission: Make 100 million people AI-ready by 2028.
What that actually feels like day to day: we're 300+ people, backed by Sequoia, moving at a speed that surprises most people who join us. Products ship in weeks, not quarters. There's no thick layer of process between an idea and it going live. You'll own things visibly bigger than your title. Some experiments will fail publicly, and we'll talk about them openly on Monday.
If you need a finished playbook before you start, this will be uncomfortable. If you'd rather write the playbook, you'll like it here.
Why This Role Exists
We've grown Vaibhav Sisinty's YouTube channel from
60K to 840K+ subscribers in about a year, and we're now building multiple channels.
The next stage of growth depends heavily on what happens
before a video is even made — which topic we choose, how we package it, what title we give it, and what thumbnail appears in the feed.
We're looking for a
YouTube Content Strategist to own this entire layer of channel growth. You'll turn content instincts into a
data-driven, repeatable testing system that improves CTR, topic hit rate and overall channel growth.
What You'll Do
Content & Topic Strategy
Own Topic Selection Across Our YouTube Channels Based On
Search demand and audience interests.
Competitor outliers and emerging trends.
Historical channel performance and data.
Trend timing and content opportunities.
Build and maintain a 90-day content/topic slate.
Challenge ideas with data and evidence, including ideas from senior stakeholders.
YouTube Packaging & CTR
Own The Packaging Of Every Video That Goes Live
Develop and evaluate title and thumbnail concepts.
Work closely with thumbnail designers and content teams.
Own click-through rate (CTR) and understand its relationship with impressions and views.
Develop clear thumbnail briefs and ensure thumbnails communicate the right promise at a glance.
Identify patterns behind high-performing and underperforming videos.
A/B Testing & Analytics
Build a Rigorous Experimentation System Around YouTube Packaging
Run A/B tests across titles and thumbnails.
Maintain a clear testing ledger documenting what worked and why.
Use YouTube Studio, spreadsheets and relevant tools to identify insights.
Turn data into actionable hypotheses and content decisions.
Continuously validate or challenge existing content and packaging assumptions.
Competitive Intelligence
Stay Deeply Connected To What's Happening Across YouTube
Track successful content and packaging patterns across relevant channels.
Identify emerging formats, topics and content trends.
Analyse breakout videos and understand why they worked.
Build a regular competitive intelligence and outlier-tracking process.
Team Leadership
Lead and develop a team of
5–10 designers, researchers and analysts.
Set clear goals, standards and ways of working.
Hire, coach and develop team members.
Review output and maintain a high quality bar.
Build a culture of experimentation, ownership and data-driven decision-making.
Multi-Channel Strategy
Help Shape The Growth Strategy Across Multiple YouTube Channels
Define channel positioning and content direction.
Recommend upload cadence and format mix.
Identify opportunities to launch new channels.
Build scalable systems that can work across channels.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a
data-driven YouTube strategist and player-coach who understands that channel growth isn't just about making good content — it's about making the right content and packaging it in a way that earns the click.
You should be someone who combines
creative judgment, analytical thinking, experimentation and team leadership.
Must-Have
5+ years of experience in YouTube packaging, channel strategy, content strategy or a closely related role.
Proven experience working directly on
YouTube channel growth with measurable outcomes.
Strong understanding of
YouTube CTR, impressions, views and audience behaviour.
Hands-on experience with
title and thumbnail strategy.
Experience running
A/B tests and using data to make content decisions.
2+ years of experience managing teams of 5–10 people, including designers, researchers or analysts.
Experience hiring, coaching and developing content/creative teams.
Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience using
YouTube Studio, vidIQ, TubeBuddy and spreadsheets or similar tools.
Strong visual judgment and the ability to clearly brief and evaluate thumbnails.
Ability to work closely with creators, writers, editors and senior stakeholders.
Strong ownership and ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
Good-to-Have
Experience working on a YouTube channel with
1M+ subscribers.
Experience managing packaging/content strategy across
multiple channels or niches.
Experience with
AI, technology, business or professional education content.
Experience working with a global, English-first audience.
