Role Description
Key Responsibilities
✅ Yokogawa CENTUM VP (CS3000/VP6000) system engineering & configuration
✅ FCS, HIS & Engineering Station configuration
✅ Develop control logic using FBD, SEBOL/ST & Logic Chart
✅ HMI graphics, operator displays, alarms & trends configuration
✅ Prepare & review I/O Lists, Cause & Effect, Control Narratives & FDS/DDS
✅ System database configuration, tag building & point-to-point checks
✅ Conduct FAT, SAT, pre-commissioning, commissioning & loop checking
✅ DCS integration with PLC/SIS using Modbus, OPC, PROFIBUS, HART & FF
✅ Troubleshoot DCS hardware/software issues
✅ Prepare engineering deliverables, MOC & as-built documentation
✅ Support estimation, man-hour planning & technical proposals
✅ Mentor junior DCS engineers & follow project engineering standards
✅ Coordinate with Yokogawa OEM for licensing, upgrades, patches & technical support
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Yokogawa DCS engineering, including system architecture, configuration, and commissioning.
- Hands-on experience with industrial control systems (DCS/PLC/SCADA/HMI) and integration with field instrumentation and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of process automation in sectors such as Oil & Gas, Power, Refinery, Water, Pharmaceuticals, or similar industries.
- Proficiency in control logic development, loop configuration, alarm management, and safety-related systems (e.g., SIL concepts).
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, control narratives, and related engineering documentation.
- Experience in testing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues during FAT, SAT, and site commissioning.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills with attention to detail and quality.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and clients on-site.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Control Engineering.
