Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Video Editor at Specular Business Services. The Video Editor will be responsible for editing raw video footage into polished, engaging content for various digital platforms, aligning all outputs with brand and campaign objectives. Daily tasks include organizing and trimming footage, applying transitions and effects, syncing audio, and performing basic color correction and grading to ensure a consistent visual style. The role involves collaborating closely with marketing, design, and content teams to interpret briefs, incorporate feedback, and deliver videos on schedule. The Video Editor will also assist with creating motion graphics, adapting content for different formats and aspect ratios, and maintaining an organized asset library to support efficient production workflows.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production, with experience handling end-to-end post-production workflows.
- Proficiency in Video Color Grading and basic color correction to maintain visual consistency and quality.
- Ability to create and integrate Motion Graphics and Graphics to enhance storytelling and visual impact.
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and graphic software (e.g., After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Solid understanding of digital and social media video formats, aspect ratios, and best practices for online distribution.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a remote environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interpret creative briefs and incorporate feedback constructively.
- Relevant education or training in film, media, design, or a related field is preferred; a portfolio demonstrating previous video work is required.
