The Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) is a Singapore government agency responsible for planning and executing strategies to enhance Singapore's position as a global business city. The EDB office in Mumbai, India is introducing the role of a Marketing Officer to strengthen EDB’s efforts in promoting Singapore as a global business hub for companies looking to grow in Asia. You will have the opportunity to develop and execute marketing strategies targeting executives and senior leaders from a wide range of sectors including technology, healthcare and industrials.
The Marketing Officer will work closely with the Regional Director(s) to:
(i) Increase awareness of Singapore and generate new business leads through marketing initiatives
(ii) Identify, engage, and manage relationships with relevant partners with whom we can work with to market Singapore to the Indian business community
(iii) Develop and execute marketing strategy across content and events organized by EDB or in collaboration with partners
(iv) Track and manage leads and shape outcomes from these marketing activities
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Partnership and Ecosystem Strategy
· Together with the Regional Director(s), develop the marketing campaign strategy across the customer acquisition funnel across lead generation to lead conversion.
· Identify, engage, and maintain relationships with key in-market partners, content agencies, media publications, and business multipliers (e.g., tax consultancies, corporate advisories, VCs, PEs).
· Together with the Regional Director(s), assess incoming sponsorship and partnership opportunities to evaluate ROI and strategic relevance.
· Propose, track, and report on performance metrics for overall partnership success on a quarterly and annual basis.
Content and Event Execution
· Execute joint marketing initiatives with onboard partners, encompassing physical/digital events, roundtables, and co-branded marketing campaigns.
· End-to-end event management: Oversee venue procurement, vendor liaison, speaker curation, invite compilation, logistics setup, and the preparation of speaker admin briefs and post-event report.
· Content production: Collaborate with internal EDB divisions as well as external creative agencies to develop and publish original, localized content (articles, infographics, white papers, deck assets, videos)
· Draft copy and visual promotional assets for localized distribution channels (e.g., LinkedIn, corporate email, event registration portals)
Media Research and Monitoring
· Conduct media monitoring across key Indian publications to identify reporting trends and journalists that EDB could engage and understand sentiments around Asia/Singapore.
· Conduct desktop research to identify market trends, audience insights, content distribution channels, innovative formats and propose relevant content angles for the Indian audience.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi
· Skills in writing engaging marketing content
· Good research and analytical skills
· Ability to engage with senior executives and their personal assistants with a high
level of confidence and professionalism
· Interest and openness to finding and testing new mar-tech solutions to improve
our marketing campaigns effectiveness and efficiency (e.g. GenAI tools)
Experience
· At least 2 years of relevant working experience, preferably in B2B / G2B marketing and business development
· Experience in helping countries or companies reach the India business audience
· Familiarity with Singapore is a plus
Location and travel
· Able to physically work in EDB’s Mumbai office and must be currently authorized to work in India.
· When required, candidate should be able to travel within India for meetings or to attend events

Qualifications
· Education background in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related fields is preferred.
