Senior Snowflake Developer – Semantic Layer
We are looking for an experienced Senior Snowflake Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake Data Cloud and Semantic Layer development to join our data engineering team.

🔹 Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize scalable data solutions using Snowflake.
Build and maintain robust data models, pipelines, and transformations.
Design and implement semantic layers to provide consistent, governed, and business-friendly access to enterprise data.
Work closely with Business, Analytics, Data Science, and BI teams to understand business requirements and translate them into semantic models.
Define business metrics, dimensions, measures, relationships, and data definitions.
Optimize Snowflake queries, workloads, and data models for performance and cost.
Develop complex SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and data transformations.
Implement data quality, governance, security, and access-control best practices.
Work with large and complex datasets across multiple business domains.
Collaborate with BI teams to support tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms.
Troubleshoot data and performance issues and provide scalable solutions.
Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
🔹 Required Skills
✅ 4–8 years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Warehousing
✅ Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake
✅ Excellent SQL skills
✅ Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling
✅ Hands-on experience designing Semantic Layers / Semantic Models
✅ Strong understanding of metrics, dimensions, measures, hierarchies, and business logic
✅ Experience with Snowflake performance optimization and cost management
✅ Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines
✅ Strong understanding of data governance and security
✅ Experience working with BI and analytics platforms
🔹 Good to Have
Experience with Snowflake Horizon / semantic capabilities
Experience with dbt
Knowledge of Snowflake Cortex / AI capabilities
Experience with Looker, Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools
Experience with Airflow or other orchestration tools
Python experience
Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP
Knowledge of data catalog and governance platforms
