Role Description The MEP Project Engineer will oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with architects, contractors, and vendors, reviewing technical drawings, conducting site inspections, and resolving MEP-related issues during project execution. The role involves planning project schedules, monitoring progress, managing quality control for MEP installations, and preparing reports and documentation for stakeholders. This is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi, requiring close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems, with the ability to integrate and coordinate these disciplines in building projects.
- Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering principles, including HVAC, fire-fighting systems, and building services design and implementation.
- Proficiency in Electrical Engineering principles, including power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems for commercial and residential projects.
- Hands-on experience in Plumbing design and installation, including water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems.
- Solid Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, risk assessment, and progress reporting.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards; familiarity with CAD or BIM tools is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management abilities, with capacity to work collaboratively on-site.
- Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and sustainable building practices is beneficial.
- Previous experience in MEP engineering for construction or infrastructure projects in an on-site environment is preferred.
