Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Project Engineer role based in New Delhi. The Mechanical Project Engineer will oversee the planning, design, and execution of mechanical systems for assigned projects, coordinating closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Daily responsibilities include reviewing technical specifications, preparing and checking mechanical drawings, supporting CAD modeling, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and codes. The role involves monitoring project schedules and budgets, managing documentation, and participating in site visits to track progress and address technical issues. The Mechanical Project Engineer will also collaborate on MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) integration, coordinate with contractors and vendors, and support continuous improvement in project delivery processes.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Project Engineering, with the ability to apply core engineering principles to complex projects.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating, reviewing, and modifying mechanical drawings and models.
- Experience in Project Management, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and risk management.
- Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and their integration in building and infrastructure projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Experience in on-site project execution, contractor coordination, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Effective communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with relevant local and international engineering codes and standards; prior experience in the New Delhi region is an advantage.
