Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Restaurant Server role based at Plate & Pint in Mumbai. The Restaurant Server is responsible for greeting guests, presenting menus, taking orders accurately, and serving food and beverages in a timely and courteous manner. Daily tasks include setting up and clearing tables, coordinating with the kitchen and bar staff, checking on guests throughout their visit, and processing payments. The role also involves answering questions about menu items, accommodating special requests when possible, and ensuring that health, safety, and hygiene standards are consistently followed. Servers are expected to maintain a clean work area, support team members during busy periods, and contribute to an overall positive guest experience.
Qualifications
- Strong Food Service and Food & Beverage skills, with the ability to manage orders and serve guests efficiently.
- Excellent Customer Service and Communication abilities for interacting with guests and collaborating with team members.
<libasic understanding of food preparation and menu items to answer guest questions make appropriate recommendations.< li>
- Prior experience as a server or in a hospitality role is preferred, but motivated candidates with a willingness to learn are welcome.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, handle a fast-paced environment, and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Professional appearance, reliability, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Basic math skills for handling bills and payments; familiarity with POS systems is an advantage.
- Minimum educational qualification of high school diploma or equivalent.
