This senior leadership role owns the regional partnership strategy and is accountable for generating robust recruitment pipelines through top-tier counsellor networks, major study-abroad agencies, feeder institutions, and key educational alliances.
The Associate Director acts as the business owner for the end-to-end partnership lifecycle within the region—from high-level partner acquisition and commercial negotiation to strategic performance management. - Commercials & Contracting: Oversee complex partner negotiations, define lucrative commercial structures, and manage high-level contract closures while ensuring strict regional compliance and profitability.
- Performance & ROI Management: Own the regional partner-driven P&L and enrollment targets. Design and implement data-driven performance frameworks and regular executive business reviews (EBRs) to maximize conversion rates and partner ROI.
- Executive Relationship Building: Cultivate and sustain C-level and executive relationships with key regional stakeholders, including prominent Independent Educational Consultants (IECs), EdTech founders, and regional education leaders.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the senior regional liaison, collaborating closely with global Marketing, Admissions, and Product teams to align partner-driven pipelines with organizational capacity and strategic timelines.
- Partner Enablement & Scale: Direct regional partner enablement programs. Strategize and sponsor high-impact regional activations, partner summits, and mega-events to solidify brand presence and drive aggressive conversion metrics.
- Market Intelligence & Strategy: Serve as the regional subject matter expert, providing leadership with actionable market intelligence, competitor analysis, and strategic recommendations based on regulatory and industry developments.
- Team Leadership (if applicable): Mentor and guide regional partnership managers and operational staff, fostering a high-performance culture focused on execution and accountability.
Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
- Experience: 10–12+ years of progressive experience in strategic alliances, B2B sales, or channel partnerships within the higher education or study-abroad sector, including at least 3+ years in a regional leadership capacity.
- Industry Expertise: Deep, authoritative understanding of the regional study-abroad ecosystem, master agent networks, and international student mobility trends.
- Commercial Acumen: Proven track record of scaling high-revenue partnership portfolios, managing regional budgets, and structuring complex commercial and commission models.
- Leadership & Negotiation: Executive presence with exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and high-level stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical Drive: Highly analytical and data-driven approach to strategy, with the ability to forecast trends, track complex performance metrics, and optimize regional results.
