Sugatu Infra is a manufacturer of Aluminium and Mild Steel (MS) fabricated and engineered products for solar and infrastructure applications.
We are looking for a hands-on Production, Fabrication & Design Manager who can independently manage our complete factory floor — from design and engineering → raw material → CNC/laser processing → welding & fabrication → quality → finished product → dispatch.
🎯 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Engineering & Design
- Understand and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings
- Prepare and modify AutoCAD (CAD) drawings
- Understand product design, dimensions, tolerances and fabrication requirements
- Understand and work with STAAD.Pro for structural design/analysis requirements
- Understand FEA (Finite Element Analysis) concepts and analysis reports
- Coordinate structural/design requirements with production
- Convert engineering designs into practical manufacturing processes
- Identify design improvements for better strength, manufacturing efficiency and cost
- Prepare/verify BOM and material requirements
2. Production Planning
- Plan production according to customer orders and delivery schedules
- Decide required material, manpower, machines and manufacturing processes
- Allocate work to machine operators, welders and fabrication staff
- Monitor daily production and delivery targets
- Take complete ownership of production execution
3. Raw Material Management
- Plan requirements for Aluminium and MS raw materials
- Check incoming material quantity and basic quality
- Maintain adequate material availability
- Control material wastage and improve material utilization
- Coordinate with purchase/store for material requirements
4. Fabrication & Welding
Strong practical knowledge of:
- MIG Welding
- Aluminium welding
- MS welding and fabrication
- Fixtures and jigs
- Cutting and finishing
- Grinding and assembly
- General fabrication processes
5. CNC & Machine Operations
Should understand and coordinate operations involving:
- CNC Machines
- Laser Cutting Machines
- Drilling Machines
- Punching Machines
- Cutting machines
- Bending/forming operations
- Measurement and inspection equipment
The candidate should be capable of understanding machine setup, tooling, process requirements and production issues.
6. Quality Control
- Inspect products against drawings and specifications
- Check dimensions and tolerances
- Monitor welding and fabrication quality
- Identify defects and implement corrective action
- Maintain consistent production quality
7. Complete Factory Floor Management
- Independently manage day-to-day factory operations
- Manage manpower and production priorities
- Coordinate Design → Purchase → Production → Quality → Dispatch
- Solve day-to-day technical and production problems
- Improve productivity and reduce rejection/wastage
- Maintain safety and discipline on the shop floor
- Ensure orders are completed within committed timelines
👤 CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Equivalent technical qualification with strong relevant experience may also be considered
Experience
- Preferably 5–10 years of manufacturing/fabrication experience
- Experience with Aluminium and MS products strongly preferred
- Practical experience in fabrication, welding, CNC and laser cutting preferred

The candidate should have good working knowledge or ability to understand:
AutoCAD / CAD – Drawing & detailing
STAAD.Pro – Structural design/analysis understanding
FEA – Finite Element Analysis understanding
CNC – Machine/process understanding
Laser Cutting – Process understanding
MIG Welding – Hands-on knowledge
Drilling & Punching – Production process
Aluminium & MS Fabrication – Strong practical knowledge
⭐ IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for someone who can independently handle:
Design → Engineering → Material Planning → CNC/Laser → Welding → Fabrication → Quality → Production → Dispatch
This is a hands-on management role. We are looking for a person who can take complete ownership of the manufacturing floor with minimum supervision.

Candidates from Rabale, Airoli, Ghansoli, Koparkhairane, Kalwa, Thane, Turbhe, Vashi, Sanpada and nearby areas are preferred.
