Job Description
This ASAP Consulting SME position enables the candidate to work as an OSS (Activation) consultant across Oracle Communications OSS Stack products.
Requirements
- Minimum 7+ years of working experience on ASAP 7.2.0 / 7.3 activation system, preferably in the Telecom domain.
- Experience with ASAP installation and ASAP upgrades from 7.0 to 7.x.
- Experience installing/upgrading ASAP on complex production systems with WebLogic, including 1 managed server, 1 admin server, and a node manager.
- Experience configuring ASAP for DB RAC setup and DB & WebLogic patch application processes.
- Experience using OCA and OCA Client Templates and different approaches to test orders within ASAP.
- Experience monitoring Oracle ASAP application and server performance.
- Experience with low-level design, development, and testing of ASAP cartridges.
- Working knowledge of Oracle Design Studio for development and deployment.
- Experience analyzing, debugging, and resolving failed orders.
- Experience reviewing existing cartridges.
- Experience deploying new functionalities and revising or undeploying older functionalities.
- Good working knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments and Unix Shell Scripts.
- Good knowledge of Java, SQL, XML, and Web Services technologies.
- Experience with Telecom Provisioning Operations for small/mid-size Mobile Telecom Operators.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Flexible to work in shifts, including IST Noon to 9 PM / EST 2:30 AM to 11:30 PM.
- Ability to perform code build and deployment of completed code into development and testing environments.
