A global leader in industrial power technology is expanding its India operations and building a world-class sourcing and procurement function to support electronics manufacturing, global supply chains, and future manufacturing expansion. This role offers the opportunity to establish procurement foundations, drive localization initiatives, and partner with international stakeholders on strategic sourcing decisions.
Job Roles & Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end sourcing and procurement operations across direct and indirect materials, supporting both current EMS manufacturing and future in-house production.
Develop sourcing strategies in partnership with global commodity managers, balancing supplier capability, technology trends, cost optimization, quality, delivery performance, and business objectives.
Identify, evaluate, onboard, qualify, audit, and manage domestic and international suppliers across electronics components, PCBs, transformers, sheet metal, stamping, injection molding, assemblies, and related manufacturing categories.
Drive supplier negotiations, contract management, localization programs, pricing strategies, annual cost-saving initiatives, demand planning, inventory optimization, compliance, and supplier performance improvement.
Build scalable procurement processes, governance standards, vendor scorecards, and sourcing frameworks that strengthen supply continuity, reduce risk, and support long-term manufacturing growth.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 15+ years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience within electronics manufacturing, OEM, EMS, or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor development, supplier negotiations, commodity management, and global procurement operations.
- Hands-on experience managing suppliers across electronics components, passive and active components, transformers, sheet metal, stamping, injection molding, assemblies, and related manufacturing categories.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience driving localization programs, cost optimization, supplier qualification, KPI management, and executive stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to influence both local and global teams.
