Educational Qualification:
- BE in Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
- Minimum 12 to 15 years of proven experience in purchase and procurement, preferably within Aluminium Piping’s or Compressor Industry
- Experience in leading and managing a purchase/procurement team.
- Hands-on experience in handling Letter of Credit (LC) and Bank Guarantee (BG) is mandatory.
- Proficiency in operating ERP software (SAP B1 and Tally) is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the purchase team to ensure efficiency, productivity, and timely delivery of materials.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and organizational goals.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to ensure optimal quality, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Maintain and expand the supplier network to support multiple project needs.
- Review, approve, and process purchase requisitions and orders in compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with project, engineering, and finance teams to ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment.
- Monitor purchase budgets, track cost control measures, and ensure adherence to financial targets.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, vendor agreements, and reports.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and cost optimization skills.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical materials, equipment, and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with procurement processes, ERP systems, and supply chain management.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
