🚨 Urgent Hiring | Design Manager – Head of Engineering
📍 Location: Chennai Experience: 18–20+ Years🎓 Qualification: B.E./B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering🏭 Industry: Pressure Vessels / Heat Exchangers / Process / Oil & Gas
🔹 Job Role
✅ Lead mechanical design and engineering activities for pressure vessels and heat exchangers✅ Design and review equipment as per ASME Section VIII Div. 1 & Div. 2✅ Handle Design by Rules, Design by Analysis, fatigue, buckling and stress analysis✅ Review material selection as per ASME Section II and welding requirements as per ASME Section IX✅ Perform/review FEA, thermal and pressure fluctuation analysis using ANSYS or similar tools✅ Ensure compliance with ASME codes, client specifications and international standards✅ Review NDT, hydrostatic and pneumatic testing requirements✅ Prepare and review design calculations, drawings, compliance reports and MDR documentation✅ Lead ASME U Stamp certification, audits, NCR and corrective-action activities✅ Handle shell & tube and plate-type heat exchanger design as per TEMA/ASME standards✅ Lead, mentor and guide the engineering/design team✅ Drive cost optimization, material optimization and design efficiency
🎯 Requirements
🎓 B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering✔️ 18–20+ years of relevant mechanical design experience✔️ Strong experience in ASME VIII Div. 1 & Div. 2✔️ Hands-on experience in pressure vessel and heat exchanger design✔️ Knowledge of ASME Sections II, V & IX✔️ Experience with FEA/ANSYS; HTRI knowledge preferred✔️ Experience in ASME U Stamp and audit processes preferred✔️ Strong leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills✔️ Ability to manage and mentor engineering teams
