About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Architect specializing in Java to join our dynamic team in Mumbai or Bangalore. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in enterprise Java application development and modernization, with a strong understanding of cloud architecture and microservices. As an integral part of our technical leadership, you will engage directly with clients to understand their needs, translate requirements into scalable solutions, and oversee the technical delivery of complex projects. Your role will involve guiding development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices, and staying updated with the latest industry trends to enhance service standards.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should have a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in Java application development and architecture. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred. Proven expertise in Java application modernization, including upgrading legacy systems to newer Java LTS versions (Java 17/21/25), is essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong experience with enterprise-level web applications using frameworks such as J2EE and Spring Boot, along with proficiency in API integration, cloud architecture, and security. Familiarity with AWS services, automated code modernization tools, and DevOps practices will be highly advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to lead technical teams are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
The Associate Architect will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong client relationships through project briefings, consultations, and review sessions. You will support the design, development, enhancement, and modernization of enterprise Java applications, ensuring delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with client requirements. Managing customer demands and expectations, negotiating project specifications, and creating comprehensive technical documentation will be key parts of your role. You will supervise activities between internal teams and external vendors, facilitating smooth workflow and timely delivery of services.
You will evaluate project data for accuracy, set project targets, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Mentoring and training team members to improve their technical skills and project performance will be an ongoing responsibility. Staying abreast of current industry practices and emerging technologies is crucial to maintain high service standards. You will review customer technical demands, assist in identifying optimal methods for system maintenance and operation, and conduct research to identify new trends that can be leveraged for project success. Additionally, you will ensure APIs and system components are robust, maintainable, and aligned with best coding and architectural practices, coordinating efforts across different layers of infrastructure.
Further duties include troubleshooting development and production issues, contributing to team meetings, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise in developing REST and SOAP APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud-based applications using AWS will be instrumental in delivering scalable, secure, and efficient solutions to clients.
