Role Description The Account Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India. The role involves supporting daily accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and assisting with reconciliations. The Account Assistant will handle petty cash management, help monitor credit control activities, prepare basic financial and accounting reports, and support month-end and year-end processes. The role includes coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure accurate, timely documentation. The Account Assistant will also assist in filing, data entry, and maintaining organized financial records in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess accounting and finance skills, including basic bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, and understanding of financial records.
- Candidates should possess experience or familiarity with credit control activities, such as monitoring payments, following up on outstanding balances, and supporting collections.
- Candidates should possess skills in petty cash handling, including accurate cash management, recording expenses, and maintaining related documentation.
- Candidates should possess strong communication skills to coordinate with internal departments, vendors, and customers, and to resolve financial queries clearly and professionally.
- Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems) and proficiency in MS Excel and other office tools is beneficial.
- Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to work with confidential information are important.
