About Dwarkesh Enterprise
Dwarkesh Enterprise is a women's ethnic wear manufacturer specializing in 3-piece suits, 2-piece suits, short kurtis, and co-ord sets. We aim to develop trend-driven collections that help retailers and online sellers stay ahead of the market.
We are looking for a creative and commercially minded Fashion Designer or Merchandiser who understands fashion trends and can help us develop new designs and product collections.
Key Responsibilities
- Trend Research: Identify the latest fashion trends, colours, prints, patterns, fabrics, and silhouettes.
- Fabric Sourcing: Source suitable fabrics from textile markets and suppliers based on design, quality, pricing, and market demand.
- Design Development: Create new designs for kurtis, ethnic suits, and co-ord sets based on current trends.
- Market Research: Study competitors, trending products, customer preferences, and successful designs across online marketplaces and social media.
- Product Development: Coordinate with the production team to develop samples and convert concepts into market-ready products.
- Costing & Pricing: Help select fabrics and develop designs that meet our target cost and retail market requirements.
- Collection Planning: Suggest new designs and product categories for upcoming seasons and festive collections.
Who Should Apply?
- Students or recent graduates in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Fashion Merchandising, or related fields.
- Candidates with an understanding of women's ethnic wear and the Surat textile market.
- Creative individuals who can identify trends and translate them into commercially viable products.
- Candidates with knowledge of fabric types, prints, embroidery, garment construction, and product costing.
- Freshers with strong creativity and practical knowledge are welcome.
Internship & Growth Opportunity
- Initial 3-month unpaid internship focused on learning, trend research, and supervised product development.
- After the initial period, compensation and future engagement will be discussed based on skills, performance, responsibilities, and mutually agreed terms.
- Opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to fabric sourcing, fashion design, merchandising, and garment manufacturing.
