Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Volunteer role based in Mumbai. The volunteer will help welcome and guide visitors, provide basic information about Vent’s activities, and support individuals in accessing appropriate resources or support channels. Day-to-day tasks may include assisting in organizing events or workshops, coordinating sign-ups, preparing materials, and helping with set-up and clean-up. The role may involve maintaining records, updating simple logs or forms, and supporting communication with participants through in-person conversations or basic email or phone follow-up. The volunteer will collaborate with staff and other volunteers, adhere to organizational guidelines, and contribute to a respectful and supportive environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact respectfully and empathetically with diverse community members.
- Candidates should possess basic organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and support events or activities efficiently.
- Candidates should possess reliability, a cooperative attitude, and the ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Candidates should possess a commitment to confidentiality, ethical conduct, and maintaining a safe and inclusive environment.
- Candidates should possess basic computer literacy (email, word processing, simple data entry); prior experience in community service or social work is beneficial but not required.
