Role Description The Video Editor role at BeardBoy|Films is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata. In this role, the Video Editor will assemble raw footage, select and arrange shots, and create cohesive, engaging video narratives aligned with project objectives. Daily responsibilities include editing video sequences, applying basic sound design, incorporating graphics or motion elements, and performing color adjustments to achieve the desired visual style. The Video Editor will collaborate closely with directors, producers, and other creative team members to refine edits based on feedback and ensure timely delivery of final assets. The role also involves organizing media files, maintaining project documentation, and staying current with editing trends and software updates.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production, with experience assembling footage and crafting clear, engaging stories.
- Ability to perform Video Color Grading to maintain visual consistency and match creative direction.
- Proficiency in Motion Graphics and Graphics to enhance videos with titles, overlays, and visual elements.
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects or equivalent).
- Attention to detail, strong visual sense, and ability to work efficiently under deadlines in an on-site team environment.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with openness to feedback and iterative creative processes.
- Relevant education or training in film, media, or a related field is beneficial; a portfolio or showreel demonstrating past work is required.
