Role Description The Venue Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Lucknow, responsible for overseeing daily operations of the comedy venue. This includes managing event schedules, coordinating with performers and technical staff, and ensuring the venue is prepared for shows, from setup to closing. The Venue Manager will supervise front-of-house activities, monitor audience flow, and ensure safety, cleanliness, and a welcoming atmosphere. The role involves managing vendor relationships, overseeing inventory and maintenance needs, and supporting marketing efforts through timely event information and collaboration with promotional teams. The Venue Manager will also handle basic budgeting tasks, track expenses related to events, and ensure that all activities align with Nerds of Comedy’s standards for guest experience and show quality.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with audiences, performers, and staff.
- Candidates should possess Venue Management and Event Management skills to oversee daily operations and coordinate successful shows.
- Candidates should possess Budgeting skills to manage event-related costs and support financial planning for the venue.
- Experience in live entertainment, hospitality, or nightlife operations is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by show schedules.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Relevant education or training in hospitality, event management, or business administration is an advantage.
