About LaFactory
LaFactory, Inc. is a full-service digital agency established in 1996 and founded by a former tech journalist. We handle strategy, SEO, content, paid campaigns, social media, branding and development for clients ranging from Unilever to the World Expo in Dubai. We also build and sell our own software.
The internship
This is a remote internship for someone who wants to learn how software products are promoted, by doing it with guidance. You will work on two product lines:
- Sestaro (https://sestaro.com), our B2B prospecting and email outreach platform: search a contact database, unlock email addresses and send campaigns from a single tool.
- Our WordPress and WooCommerce plugins (https://lafactory.com/plugins/): LaFactory Digital Products, LaFactory Subscriptions, LaFactory Marketplace Lister, LaFactory Multi Inventory and LaFactory Barcode.
What you will learn to do
- Understand a product and its buyers well enough to explain one to the other
- Write content that brings in qualified users: articles, tutorials, comparisons, social posts
- Make a product visible where its buyers already are: WordPress and WooCommerce communities, B2B sales communities, software directories and review platforms
- Approach bloggers, reviewers and newsletter owners who cover these topics
- Read the numbers (signups, installs, traffic) and decide what to do next
How we help you improve
- You are not expected to know how to do this already. We show you the method, then you apply it.
- What you write is edited by a former tech journalist, who explains the reason for each change.
- You work alongside the people who handle SEO, content, paid campaigns and social media for our clients, and you can ask them how they do it.
- Your work goes live. We review the results with you: what worked, what did not, what to try next.
- You start with guided tasks and take on more as you progress.
Who you are
- You write clear, correct English
- You have used WordPress, or you learn a technical product quickly
- You are curious about SaaS, B2B sales or e-commerce
- You take feedback and put it to use
No marketing experience is required: that is what you come here to learn.
What you leave with
- Hands-on experience marketing live products with real users
- Published work and measurable results to show
This internship is unpaid and fully remote.
