About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Travel Operations Manager to lead our US Travel Operations team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience managing travel operations for the US market and leading high-performing teams. The role requires strong operational expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to drive productivity, quality, and revenue while ensuring exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibility:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the US Travel process.
Lead, mentor, coach, and motivate Team Leaders and Travel Sales Executives.
Drive team productivity, operational efficiency, and revenue generation.
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs to ensure business targets are achieved.
Handle customer escalations and provide timely resolutions while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Ensure smooth processing of travel bookings including:
Flight Reservations
Hotel Bookings
Car Rentals
Cruise Bookings
Vacation Packages
Monitor quality, compliance, and process adherence across the operations team.
Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and team development activities.
Coordinate with Quality, HR, Training, and Management teams to improve operational performance.
Prepare MIS reports, operational dashboards, and performance analysis for management.
Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, and service standards.
Required Qualification and Experience:
Minimum 3+ years of experience in US Travel Operations.
Proven experience managing a team in an international travel process.
Hands-on experience in handling:
Flight Bookings
Hotel Reservations
Car Rentals
Cruise Bookings
Vacation Packages
Strong understanding of the US travel industry and customer requirements.
Experience working with GDS platforms such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo is highly preferred.
Excellent leadership, people management, and team-building skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Proficiency in MS Excel, reporting, and operational metrics.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in managing revenue-driven travel operations.
Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to handle multiple teams and priorities simultaneously.
Knowledge of quality management and operational compliance.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
