Role Description The Transmission Project Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Surat, responsible for managing end-to-end engineering activities for transmission projects up to 400 KV. This role includes planning project execution, preparing technical documentation, and coordinating with design, procurement, and site teams to ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards. The Transmission Project Engineer will oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of transmission systems, monitor project progress, and address technical issues to keep work on schedule and within budget. Day-to-day tasks involve reviewing engineering drawings, conducting site visits, liaising with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and company quality procedures.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Project Engineering and Electrical Engineering skills for transmission systems and related infrastructure.
- Candidates should possess Project Management and Project Planning skills to oversee schedules, resources, and risk mitigation.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; advanced certifications in power systems or project management are an advantage.
- Experience in high voltage transmission projects, substation works, or utility-scale electrical installations is preferred.
- Knowledge of applicable electrical standards, safety regulations, and quality management practices.
- Ability to work on-site in Surat, manage multiple priorities, and contribute to a collaborative, safety-focused work environment.
