Role Description The Senior Construction Engineer will oversee day-to-day construction activities, ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, and in alignment with technical specifications. This full-time, on-site role is based in Mumbai and involves supervising construction teams, coordinating with contractors and consultants, and reviewing drawings and plans for accuracy and feasibility. The role includes monitoring structural work, conducting site inspections, and resolving technical issues that arise during construction. The Senior Construction Engineer will manage heavy equipment utilization, oversee quality control processes, and ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and company procedures. This position also involves preparing progress reports, supporting cost and resource planning, and contributing to continuous improvement of construction methods and practices.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Construction Engineering and Civil Engineering, with the ability to lead complex on-site projects.
- Strong capability in interpreting and working with Construction Drawings, plans, and technical documentation.
- Hands-on experience with Heavy Equipment operations, coordination, and safety in a construction environment.
- Proficiency in conducting thorough Inspection and quality control of structural and civil works.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Several years of experience in senior or supervisory construction roles, preferably in large-scale infrastructure or building projects.
- Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards applicable in India.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse site teams.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering and project management software is an advantage.
- Commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement in construction processes.
