Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high‑quality Social Studies lessons for classes IX–XII in accordance with the CBSE/ICSE curriculum.
- Incorporate interdisciplinary teaching methods that link history, geography, civics, and economics with real‑world contexts.
- Facilitate co‑curricular activities such as debates, model United Nations, heritage walks, and community projects.
- Assess student performance through formative and summative assessments, maintain accurate records, and provide constructive feedback.
- Mentor and guide students in developing research, analytical, and communication skills.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, senior leadership, and subject specialists to design integrated learning modules.
- Participate actively in professional development programmes, workshops, and school events.
- Uphold the school’s ethos of humility, sensitivity, teamwork, and continuous growth in all interactions.
- Maintain classroom discipline and a safe, inclusive learning environment.
Essential Qualifications
- Graduate degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, or related discipline.
- Teacher Training Certificate (B.Ed., D.El.Ed., or equivalent) recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
- Valid teaching license as per state regulations.
- Strong command over English and Hindi (both written and spoken).
Desired Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience at the secondary level (Classes IX–XII).
- Demonstrated ability to integrate technology and innovative pedagogical tools in the classroom.
- Experience in organizing co‑curricular activities such as debates, exhibitions, and community outreach programmes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
