Technical Business Analyst – LegalTech Implementations
Company: Cloud Mentor Software Pvt. Ltd.
Role Type: Full-Time
Products: LawAccounting & CaseQube
Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan / Remote
About Cloud Mentor
Cloud Mentor Software Pvt. Ltd. is a technology company specializing in Salesforce-based solutions, LegalTech, and business process automation. We work with organizations to streamline complex business operations by combining technology, domain expertise, and implementation excellence.
Our LegalTech products, LawAccounting and CaseQube, are designed to help law firms manage their legal operations, financial processes, billing, accounting, client and matter management, and related workflows on the Salesforce platform.
As we continue to expand our LegalTech implementation capabilities, we are looking for a Technical Business Analyst who can act as the bridge between our clients and technology teams.
About the Role
We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst who can work closely with law firms during the implementation of LawAccounting and CaseQube.
This is not a traditional Business Analyst role focused only on documenting requirements. You will work directly with clients to understand how their firm operates, identify process gaps, challenge existing workflows, translate business needs into technical requirements, and work closely with our implementation and development teams to deliver effective solutions.
The ideal candidate will combine strong client-facing skills, business analysis, and Salesforce technical knowledge.
Experience in the legal industry is a major advantage, while knowledge of law-firm accounting, billing, trust accounting, or financial processes is an exceptional plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with attorneys, accounting teams, billing teams, administrators, and firm leadership during implementations.
- Conduct discovery and working sessions to understand client processes, systems, challenges, and requirements.
- Analyze existing workflows and recommend how they can be configured or improved within LawAccounting and CaseQube.
- Translate client requirements into clear functional and technical requirements for implementation and development teams.
- Understand and document workflows related to:
- Matter and client management
- Time and expense entry
- Pre-billing and billing
- Accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Trust/retainer accounting
- Attorney compensation and revenue splits
- Rates and rate structures
- Document management
- Intake and conflict checks
- Reporting and financial workflows
- Work closely with Solution Architects, Salesforce Developers, QA, Data Migration teams, and Project Managers.
- Assist with Salesforce configuration, including objects, fields, relationships, security, automation, reports, and general platform functionality.
- Participate in data migration discussions and help map data from legacy legal/accounting systems into LawAccounting and CaseQube.
- Define acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and validate solutions before presenting them to clients.
- Conduct solution walkthroughs, client demonstrations, UAT sessions, and implementation workshops.
- Identify gaps between standard product functionality and client-specific requirements and help determine the best configuration or customization approach.
- Become a trusted point of contact for clients throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Required Experience
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Salesforce Business Analyst, or Implementation Consultant.
- Hands-on understanding of the Salesforce platform.
- Ability to understand Salesforce objects, fields, relationships, security, automation/workflows, reports, and integrations.
- Strong requirements-gathering and process-mapping skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements.
- Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills.
- Comfortable leading discovery sessions and asking detailed questions about how a business operates.
- Ability to work effectively across business, technical, product, and implementation teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strongly Preferred
Experience with the legal industry or law-firm operations is a significant advantage.
Candidates with experience implementing or working with LegalTech platforms such as Litify, ProLaw, PCLaw, Elite, Aderant, Clio, Filevine, iManage, NetDocuments, or similar platforms would be especially valuable.
Major Plus – Accounting Knowledge
Accounting knowledge is a very strong advantage for this position.
Experience with any of the following would be highly desirable:
- Law-firm accounting
- General Ledger and Chart of Accounts
- Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable
- Cash vs. Accrual Accounting
- Trust Accounting / IOLTA
- Three-way Trust Reconciliation
- Client Retainers
- Pre-billing and Billing
- Attorney Revenue or Compensation Splits
- Financial Reporting
- Bank Reconciliation
- Multi-company or Multi-entity Accounting
The Ideal Candidate
Someone who understands Salesforce + Legal Operations + Accounting would be an outstanding fit for this position.
What Success Looks Like
The right person should be able to sit in a meeting with a law firm's Managing Partner, CFO, Controller, Billing Manager, and IT team, understand what each stakeholder needs, and then clearly communicate to our technical team:
“This is how they work today, this is the problem they are trying to solve, this is how we should configure the product, and these are the areas where we may need customization.”
You will play a critical role in becoming the bridge between our clients and technology teams, helping make complex LegalTech implementations simple, efficient, and successful for our clients.
