About Opportunity
The Tax Training Manager is responsible for the oversight and technical development of our growing teams in Bengaluru. The Training Manager will work directly with the U.S. based Tax Resource Manager to coordinate scheduling of the New Preparer and Experienced Preparer teams, maximizing their utilization and exposure to entity types and industry groups. The Training Manager will be dedicated to supporting the teams’ professional growth, technical development and preparedness for the next levels of their careers.
A key focus for the Training Manager is to assist in the development of tax training content and reference materials, as well as the routine updating and presentation of case studies for all entity types. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, patience, and empathy. The Training Manager serves as a trusted sounding board for associates, balancing technical guidance with thoughtful coaching. The environment is fast-paced and continuously evolving, including frequent changes in software, tools, and processes, making adaptability and comfort with change essential.
The Training Manager will deliver all relevant, standardized training onsite, coordinating with their U.S. counterpart. The Training Manager advocates for process efficiency and leveraging technology and serves as a resource and mentor for newly onboarded team members and future interns. The Manager also works in tandem with our Professional Practice Group (PPG) to manage risk and ensure quality control, and Tax Operations to ensure that a holistic view of our Practice strategy, growth and development goals are aligned as One Firm.
What You'll Do
- Foster strong relationships to encourage open communication, creativity, and team engagement.
- Coordinate/develop/lead onboarding and training initiatives for interns, Associate I and Associate II hires.
- Serve as a technical resource for Associates, leveraging strong personal tax compliance knowledge while effectively partnering with subject matter experts when necessary.
- Manage day-to-day oversight, development and utilization of Associate team.
- Liaise with U.S. based Tax Resource and Tax Training Managers to identify opportunities to expand or enhance training initiatives.
- Proactive in seeking input and support when needed, and comfortable raising questions or concerns early to ensure successful outcomes.
- Independently manage initiatives, exercise sound judgment, and proactively raise questions or concerns when support is needed.
- Participation in Tax Operations planning, strategy, development and delivery of training content.
- Perform first-level reviews as needed to support quality, consistency, and compliance with firm standards.
- Ensure compliance with key quality and risk management policies.
- Create instructional materials such as guides, videos, and checklists to be used in training.
- Actively seek out new training methodologies and best practices to support training initiatives and team development.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in accounting and public accounting tax experience required
- EA License, or CPA certification required .
- Humble, team-first mindset, proactive problem-solver and comfortable working independently.
