Job Description – System Administrator
Position: System Administrator – Computer Labs
Location: Sri Sukhmani Group of Institutions, Derabassi
Experience: 1–3 Years | Qualification: B.Tech/BCA/MCA/Diploma in Computer Science/IT or equivalent
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all computers, peripherals, software, and networking equipment in college computer labs.
- Install, configure, update, and troubleshoot operating systems, software, hardware, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Ensure computer labs are fully functional and ready for regular classes, practicals, examinations, and technical events.
- Manage basic LAN/network connectivity, switches, routers, Wi-Fi, antivirus, and system security.
- Maintain IT asset inventory, software records, maintenance logs, and backup systems.
- Provide timely technical support to students and faculty and coordinate with external vendors when required.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of Windows/Linux, computer hardware, networking, and software installation.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues independently.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience in a college/university or educational environment will be preferred.
