Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Surveyor – Transmission Line (Hilly Area) based in Namchi. The Surveyor will conduct detailed route surveys for transmission lines in hilly terrain, including topographical measurements, profiling, and alignment marking using appropriate surveying instruments and tools. Responsibilities include collecting and validating field data, preparing survey sketches and basic drawings, coordinating with engineering and construction teams, and supporting tower spotting and foundation location finalization. The role involves verifying right-of-way constraints, recording land and terrain features, assisting in resolving on-ground alignment issues, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards during all field activities. The Surveyor will maintain accurate documentation, daily reports, and survey records, and may support site visits, inspections, and stakeholder interactions related to transmission line works.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong technical surveying skills, including use of total station, GPS, auto level, benching, kanpuri , prop setting and other standard survey instruments for transmission line projects in hilly terrain.

- Candidates should possess skills in route alignment, tower spotting, topographical survey, contour mapping, and preparation of basic survey drawings and sketches.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of transmission line construction practices, right-of-way requirements, land features assessment, and basic understanding of relevant standards and regulations.
- Candidates should possess solid fieldwork capabilities, including ability to work safely in hilly areas, follow safety protocols, and adapt to varying weather and ground conditions.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and coordination skills to work with engineering teams, site supervisors, and local stakeholders, along with clear record-keeping and reporting abilities.
- Diploma or ITI in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field is preferred; prior experience in transmission line or infrastructure projects in hilly regions is highly beneficial.
- Expert to survey-related software or Auto CAD (expert) 2D,3D others tools and Comfort with basic computer applications (such as MS Office) .
