Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Dimensional Control Surveyor role based in Gujarat, India. The Dimensional Control Surveyor will perform precision surveying and measurement activities on industrial and infrastructure projects, ensuring accurate alignment, positioning, and fit-up of structures and components. Responsibilities include setting up and operating advanced surveying instruments, collecting and validating measurement data, preparing dimensional control reports, and collaborating with engineers, project managers, and construction teams to resolve discrepancies. The role involves supporting 3D modeling and digital twin workflows by providing high-quality measurement data, maintaining proper documentation and quality standards, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental requirements on site. The surveyor will also contribute to continuous improvement of survey methods and participate in training and knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in dimensional control surveying, including use of total stations, laser scanners, GPS/GNSS, and other precision measurement instruments.
- Experience with survey data processing, 3D modeling, and integration of survey outputs into CAD or BIM environments.
- Knowledge of industrial, marine, or infrastructure alignment procedures, tolerances, and quality control standards.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, layout plans, and technical specifications.
- Proficiency with relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil/Plant CAD platforms, survey processing software, and MS Office).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate on-site with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Understanding of health, safety, and environmental practices applicable to field and construction environments.
- Diploma or degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Willingness to work on-site in Gujarat, India, including field conditions and occasional extended hours as project needs require.
