Support Engineer — Mid-Level
Remote | IT / Technology
We’re looking for a Mid-Level Support Engineer with strong hands-on IT support and infrastructure troubleshooting experience to support clients in a remote environment.
This role is best suited to someone who has worked in an MSP or client-facing IT support environment and is comfortable troubleshooting Windows, servers, hardware, software, networking, and related infrastructure issues.
What We're Looking ForMust-Have Experience
- 3+ years of professional IT Support experience
- At least 1 year of experience in an MSP / Managed Services environment
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting across:
- Hardware
- Software
- Windows operating systems
- Networking
- Servers
- IT infrastructure
- Strong working knowledge of Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11
- Experience supporting Windows Server environments, including Server 2008, 2012, 2016 and/or 2019
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience providing client-facing technical support
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple incidents and service requests while prioritizing effectively
- Ability to work independently in a remote support environment
- Strong customer service and client relationship skills
Your Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support for client incidents, service requests and technical inquiries
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, Windows and system-related issues
- Troubleshoot Windows workstations, servers, applications and network environments
- Communicate directly with clients to understand issues and provide effective technical solutions
- Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, configurations and client environments accurately
- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate internal teams when required
- Maintain and contribute to technical documentation, knowledge bases and self-help resources
- Identify opportunities to improve support processes and service delivery
- Participate in technical projects and IT initiatives
- Support Microsoft environments and related technologies
- Participate in on-call and after-hours support rotations as required

Important
This is not a basic help-desk-only position.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on IT infrastructure troubleshooting experience, strong Windows knowledge, client-facing support experience, and preferably MSP experience supporting multiple client environments.
If your experience is primarily limited to basic desktop support, internal employee support, or application-only support, this role may not be the right fit.
