Role Description This is an Education Counselor role based in Delhi/Gurgaon (Hybrid). The Student Counselor will provide individualized academic and career guidance to students, helping them plan their academic paths, select suitable extracurricular activities, and prepare for university admissions. Responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, supporting students with application timelines, coordinating with mentors and educators, and maintaining accurate records of student progress. The role involves regular communication with parents and guardians to align expectations, address concerns, and provide updates on each student’s development. The counselor will also contribute to workshops and information sessions on admissions strategies, study skills, and overall student well-being.
Qualifications
- Education Counseling and Education skills to guide learners through academic planning and university admissions.
- Career Counseling skills to help students explore pathways, select suitable courses, and make informed long-term decisions.
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively with mentors and teaching staff, with strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field; advanced qualifications or certifications in counseling are an advantage.
- 5+ years of Experience working with high school students or in an academic counseling environment, preferably in international admissions contexts.
- Comfort using digital tools and platforms to track student progress, manage schedules, and share resources.
