Role Description The Student Assistant will support trademark attorneys with day-to-day administrative and research tasks in a fast-paced intellectual property practice. Responsibilities include organizing client files, preparing and formatting documents and reports, maintaining case records, and assisting with scheduling hearings, meetings, and deadlines. The role also involves conducting basic legal and market research related to trademarks, helping track application status, and supporting communication with clients under supervision. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bengaluru, requiring consistent presence in the office and collaboration with the legal and administrative teams.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills to handle multiple cases and deadlines.
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication, including clear email drafting, document formatting, and professional client interaction.
- Basic research skills, including the ability to gather, analyze, and summarize information from legal databases and online sources.
- Comfort with office productivity tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software) and willingness to learn new systems.
- Interest in intellectual property law, trademarks, or related legal fields; prior coursework or exposure is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, collaborate with a diverse team, and maintain confidentiality and professional ethics.
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in law, business, or a related discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
- Adaptability, initiative, and a learning mindset to take on new tasks and support evolving practice needs.
