Position - Structural Bridge Engineer
Work Location - Ahmedabad, Gujarat
We are seeking an experienced Bridge Engineer to join a structural engineering team based in Ahmedabad, India. The successful candidate will take ownership of bridge design and temporary works projects, working independently from concept through to authority approval.
- Lead structural design and analysis for bridge projects and temporary works
- Manage projects independently, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes
- Coordinate with clients to understand project requirements and provide technical guidance
- Liaise with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary approvals and permits
- Prepare and review structural drawings, calculations, and design reports
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors as required
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in bridge design and structural engineering
- Proven experience with temporary works design and management
- Demonstrated ability to handle projects independently from inception to completion
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in structural analysis software: STAAD.Pro, MIDAS Civil, SAP2000
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD for drafting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for calculations and reporting
Other Requirements:
- Experience in client coordination and stakeholder management
- Familiarity with Indian bridge design codes and authority approval processes
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
